Synopsis: This is a wonderful story of a woman swept into a destructive love affair. A fictional novel that describes Steffie’s exciting life from childhood until Steffie reaches her sixties. Steffie had a strong desire to fit in with other children, the kibbutz life, national service and the Israeli culture. All of these dreams conflicted greatly with her conservative upbringing, the desire to honour her parents, and all this contrary to her dreams and desires. A chance meeting with a stranger changes her destiny forever. She falls into his net and is swept along into a lengthy and devastating relationship. Out of love she fails to see the first signs of his distorted personality. As the years go by Steffi weakens under his control and slowly she surrenders to the ability to control her own destiny. But as she weakens, the reverse begins to take place. She begins to see and understand who the man she chose to be with for the rest of her life really is and who she wants to be. Steffi believes that through her intense strength and faith she will emerge from the swamp. Through courage and careful planning, she finds her mission. She is accepted to University, finishing a bachelor’s degree in art and finds the strength to break free from her marriage and reach her dream.
